The story

One weekend in the bay.

The Hemi makes good power stock. It does not make enough. So we made a plan: bolt a centrifugal ProCharger to the front of the engine, fab the bracket from scratch, route the belt around the existing accessories, and feed the intake from a clean side.

Step one was the bracket. No off-the-shelf kit fits a Hemi like this one. So it starts on the workbench with cardboard. Cut a template, hold it up to the bay, mark where it fights the alternator, cut again. Once the cardboard works, transfer the lines to aluminum plate, drill, file, square it up. The first version is never the right one. Neither is the second.

Step two was the bay. Strip the front. Pull the intercooler so the radiator can come forward. Disconnect coolant lines, drain it, change the thermostat while it is open (it was due). Test-fit the ProCharger on the new bracket. Then again. Then once more. Belt path, clearance, hose routing. Every small win is two scraped knuckles.

Step three was the install. Mount the bracket. Hang the ProCharger. Run the silicone inlet (the blue one, in the photos). Re-route the belt. Refill, bleed, button the front back together. Hood down. Crank. Listen.
